Manufacturing Engineer

Job description

Plan and perform engineering work in developing and/or improving products, processes, equipment, and quality. Assignments will involve a variety of production challenges and require the use of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. Develops clear and specific objectives for given assignments. Effectively participates in a team setting to achieve results. Develops a product knowledge expertise for assigned area of responsibility

Job Responsibilities

• Implements and optimizes manufacturing techniques, processes, and tooling to maximize efficiency and reduce cost
• Assist in resolution of issues in manufacturing
• Participates in adoption of new technologies and processes to achieve greater efficiency
• Works with cross-functional teams to accomplish production targets
• Meets production requirements by designing equipment and/or tooling modifications as needed • Initiate and control cost reduction projects to achieve targets
• Works with project personnel to ensure the smooth implementation of process development work into plant operations.
• Communicates progress through management updates and team meetings.

Required Skills And Qualification

• 2-3 years of manufacturing/design experience
• Experience with SolidWorks or any 3D software is required
• Possess good oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems and PLC systems
