Treasury Accountant

A leading full-service supplier for Automotive and Industrial with more than 3000 employee with location North & South America and Europe is looking to hire Treasury Accountant

General Role Overview:

A Treasury Accountant will play a critical role in managing the company's cash flow, ensuring accurate financial records, and optimizing liquidity. This position is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a strong background in financial analysis, cash management, and compliance to contribute to the financial stability and success of our organization. The treasury accountant will be responsible for tracking the money moving in and out of bank accounts to optimize the cash flow and minimize any financial risk. Other duties include foreign currency management (where applicable), forecasting of medium to long-term funding and hedging requirements, interest rate risk management etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily accounting for all treasury activity including daily bank reconciliations and suspense account clearance.
  • Ensure the interface between the treasury management system ( ) and the accounting system (SAP) is complete and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • The preparation of monthly, yearly and half yearly accounting and reporting, including hedge accounting, FX derivatives, interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps and credit valuation adjustments
  • Preparation of the annual statutory financial statements and tax for the treasury reporting legal entity
  • Preparation and distribution of the monthly, weekly and ad hoc Treasury Reports which includes the monitoring of KPI’s across Group Treasury, Group liquidity, Group counterparty risk and Group Covenants and is reported to the Group CFO/VP finance.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and system integrity, escalating any foreseeable issues or opportunities for improvement to management where required.
  • Establish effective, robust and open working relationships with key customers (including Corporate Finance teams, Group Treasury, Group Tax, Group legal, Internal Audit and the External Audit team) to ensure expectations are managed, key issues communicated, and potential blockers resolved in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CTP, CFA) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in treasury management or related financial roles
  • Good to have Domain background in supply chain and OEM.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, cash management, and risk analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and treasury management systems (TMS).
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance, including banking and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
